The Friday Five

Hey y’all!  How’s it going?  I’m still working on kicking this cold, here. It seems like the cold mixed with allergies is what’s making it hold on to me for dear life. At least this week I’ve been productive though, and most days I don’t feel like I’m at death’s door.

We’re gearing up for a garage sale, so the house looks like a terribly organized stock room at the moment. So much crap everywhere! It wasn’t crap when I brought it in, but my attitude towards it all has changed now that it’s overtaken the house. I’m ready for a minimalist lifestyle, y’all, but who am I kidding? I love stuff! I just have to get a hold on organizing it all better.

So now that I’ve ranted about all of that, let me tell you about some of the things that caught my eye this past week.

Some of y’all may follow me on Instagram, and this past week I shared an InstaStory showcasing some items I found at an antique store. They were so random, but one of the neatest things I came across was a bucket full of patches. We sifted through them for about twenty minutes, and I’m sure the other shoppers were wondering what in the heck we were doing, but I wanted to find some pretty floral patches from some projects I have in mind. I didn’t actually come across any, but I did find some really fun patches like the ones above. I wasn’t sure what to do with them, but someone pointed out to me that they would be great to put onto a denim jacket, and of course I look it up and it’s all the rage right now. I’m not 100% sure it’s my style, but I sure to admire it on others. So I’ve linked up a beautiful jacket, and some really neat patches for you all to take advantage of if you’d like.

Another things I found was this hand beaded pouch from Madewell. The design is striking, isn’t it?

I’m always on the hunt for a backup pair of sunglasses. I tend to buy cheap, so TJMaxx is the way to go for me since I can get quality for less. These are just fun, and would be perfect this summer!

And last but not least, this pretty teapot! I don’t know if it’s the fact that I saw Beauty and the Beast recently, or if I’m just always drawn to teapots, but I finally purchased myself a set from HomeGoods this past week, and I’m excited to use it!

Have a great weekend!
