A Cozy Fall Family Room
Hey there, friends! I hope all is well with you, and that you’re having fun getting your home ready for fall/spooky season! We’ve been working on some home updates, while slowly transition our home, so I’m finding that the only ready-to-share space is our recently renovated family room. It’s been such a lovely space to have as a retreat, when things with the renovation get too overwhelming. (See more about this space remodel here.) I’m still waiting to sew/reupholster the sectional, as I have been suffering from a pinched nerve, or some sort of back injury. The doctors don’t really know, but I have to take it easy, so that project has taken a backseat to the easier managed ones. I’ll get to it soon though, as I can’t wait to have the entire space finished.
Most of the space looks the same, but recently I came across a couple of leather Coach chairs on Facebook Marketplace for well under what they are actually worth. Got both of them for the price of a Studio McGee chair from Target, so that’ll give you an idea on what a good deal it was!
This space is already cozy, so it didn’t take many additions to give it that cozy fall look. As a matter of fact, it only took a quick change of art on the Samsung Frame TV, and the addition of some dried fall florals, and some chunky knit throws. I changed up the coffee table decor a bit, and added our new-to-us candle wall sconces to the wall, flanking the TV, so the space looks refreshed, and I love it!
We’ve been cozying up on the couch. Turning on the faux fireplace for ambiance, and watching spooky movies, because y’all know, the moment it turns fall, I’m all about spooky season. I’m still playing with the idea of decorating this space for Halloween, but may leave that to the main living space, and check back with y’all in this space for Christmas. I’ve already got my tree design ready, and it’s going to fit this space so well! I’m so excited to share it with y’all, so be sure check back in with me then.
