A Neutral and Festive Holiday Living Room
When the time came to decorate for Christmas, way back in November, I wasn’t sure exactly how I wanted to decorate our main living room. I had collected a few new-to-me decor pieces at various vintage stores, during previous months that I wanted to incorporate, but other than that I didn’t have a theme, and that was actually okay with me. I let the process play out on its own, and despite changing up the type of tree I wanted to use, it all worked out! I love where it ended up, and hope you enjoy it too!
Aren’t these iron candlesticks amazing? They are easily my most favorite find in recent months, so it was no question that they’d be used in my holiday décor this year.
We’re lucky enough to have a few juniper trees on our property, so to save money on floral displays we went out to cut off a few stems. My husband removed a couple of dead limbs from the trees first, and when I saw them I was sure I wanted to use them instead of cutting fresh green pieces. I think they make a grand display in my vintage urn planter here on the console table.
As you can see, there is a good mix of old and new pieces throughout. If you’re wanting a similar look this year, I suggest visiting your local thrift, and vintage stores. There are so many treasures out there! Go find them, and bring them home, but if you’d rather shop from home, I have linked a few similar finds to mine for you to consider.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season, friends!
