A Note From Home: Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall
Fall Style
Friends, we have one week left around here until fall officially starts! I’m waiting with bated breath for cooler temps here in TX. My fall-winter wardrobe is always stocked and ready to go, and I can’t wait to wear the newest items I’ve added to my collection. Knowing I don’t go out as much as I used to, I’ve kept to more casual style, with items that I can dress up easily if needed. I’m happy to see that denim-on-denim is trending, because that was basically my uniform for the last two years. I may start sharing clothing related posts again, as this blog is now more of a journal of our home and my life, than it used to be.
Halloween
Halloween is just around the corner too! Our living room will most likely be the only space that I fully decorate, starting next week, but I’ve already switched up our family room’s coffee table decor to add a moodier vibe to the space. If you aren’t into typical Halloween decorations, it’s a great alternative.
Home Projects
We’re in the process of switching up our son’s playroom to a guest bedroom. He has outgrown the want/need to have a dedicated space for toys, and has since found a corner of our home that he feels more comfortable in, so we are making the space useful to us as a family. We had originally thought it would be our workout room, but we’ve gone a different direction in our thinking, and ultimately the need for a space for family to stay while visiting from out of town is necessary as our family grows and moves about the state and country. Our first houseguests in years, should be coming to visit this fall. We’re excited to see them!
In the meantime, as if we didn’t have enough on our plate, we’re finishing a mini kitchen makeover, involving a temporary backsplash, and painting or cabinets. More on that, and why it’s temporary, to come soon.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
