A Very Merry and Bright Christmas Home Tour
*Singing* “Christmas time is here..” and I couldn’t be happier about it! I’ve decked the halls, and all that jazz, so we’re ready to sit back, enjoy ourselves, and do all of the fun Christmastime activities we can think of! Here are some that we personally enjoy doing around our house.
I love to stretch these activities out over the month, to make the entire season feel special. We’ve checked a few off already, and I’m really looking forward to the rest!
We’ve halted all renovations to take time out for the holidays, so our house is currently a mix of beautifully decorated spaces and supplies being housed throughout them. That’s the reno life! Even still, I managed to capture a few good photos to share with you all here on the blog. I hope you enjoy our Very Merry and Bright Christmas Home Tour!
Y’all know I’m a big fan of mixing old with new. I’m always on the lookout for vintage holiday pieces to add to my collection while I’m out thrifting and antiquing, and it’s a treat to go through my finds around this time to choose what I want to use. Take these antique framed horse and carriage silhouettes for example. They are timeless, but work beautifully with our Christmas decor.
Keep an eye out for all of the vintage pieces I used throughout our home this year. There are a bunch!
Decor Tip: Choose props that represent something special to you during the season. I used this thrifted wood cane in our decor this year, as a nod to Miracle on 34th St, because I love the movie, and honestly I cry every time I see the cane left behind. Santa!

See more of our coffee bar here.
Did you find them all? The reason I love using vintage pieces in my decorating, is that they add an element to a space that makes it feel unique. Even though we’re seeing it more and more as a trend these days, I think I’m a lifer. I’m so drawn to them and the life they’ve “lived” before me, and it feels special to bring them into my home. What’s your take on vintage pieces? Love them? Hate them?
Friends, that’s our home tour for the season! I hope that you enjoyed it, and come back again to see more of our home next year. We will pick back up on our renovations, so there will be a lot to see over the next few months. My ultimate house goal for 2021, is to be done with all of our renovations for the year, by this time next year. Wouldn’t that be lovely!
Thanks for visiting the blog today! I’m wishing you all a wonderful holiday season!
