Decorating our Coffee Bar for the Holidays
The closer to Christmas we got, the more I was drawn to decorate the coffee bar. I hadn’t planned on it, since the kitchen and dining area is a bit disheveled due to ongoing renovations, but I couldn’t help it. Because everything going on around it makes for a bit of a chaotic scene, I didn’t want to add too much to add to the chaos. I opted to hang a simply made garland of dried oranges and juniper across the bottom shelves, switched out my normal art for a mini oval canvas painting of a winter scene, and added a Santa Clause nesting doll to the counter top for a little more holiday cheer. Not much, but enough. Even still, I couldn’t help but feel that the space needed a little tree. I’ve seen so many cute ones on the internet recently, and wanted to decorate a version of my own. I used dried fruit as ornaments, along with ribbon remnants from our gift wrapping. Super simple! Oh, and if you’re wondering, I didn’t dry all the fruit myself. I’ve tried that in years past and failed miserably. Instead, I used a pack of dried fruit potpourri that didn’t make my allergies flare, for my projects. So quick and easy!
Well, I hope y’all enjoy the decorations, and enjoy the rest of the holidays too. I may pop in around here again before the new year, but honestly, I’m planning on relaxing with my family and enjoying their company for the rest of the year.
We have a lot of home projects coming up in the next year, that we’re excited to share with y’all, so be sure to come back in the new year. If you haven’t signed up yet, I’d love it if you filled out the form below for email updates to be delivered to you each time we have a new blog post.
