Earth Tones Inspired Living Room
Happy Spring, friends! It’s about time to plan our family vacation, so I have vacation on the brain right now. I’m taking a cue from one of our past vacations, and decorating our living room to reflect it. I wouldn’t say it was intentional, but once I stood back and looked at it all, I realized what I had done. I guess I’m really yearning for some new vacation experiences right now!
We hit the road two summers ago on our way to Disneyland, and traveled through Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and on to California. Needless to say, we saw a lot of different terrain, and beautiful earth tones. After all, we traveled through the desert, and visited the Grand Canyon on that trip. It was amazing, and awe inspiring, and truthfully I want to do it all over again, but we like to experience as many new places with our little boy as possible, so we are looking to go somewhere different this year. We still haven’t settled on where though.
Here’s a picture I took while at the Grand Canyon. You can see how inspirational it turned out to be when decorating my living room. Again, it wasn’t intentional, but I manged to pull in the blues, greens, mixed with many variations of brown. I love it, and hope you enjoy the mini tour!
I plan to keep our space this way through summer, which is wonderful, because I hope to be busy with other things during that time, and not worrying about what our house looks like. Would you decorate your home based on family vacations? Have you? I’d love to hear from you!
