Elegant 4th of July Dining
This summer I’ve pulled together a few new serving pieces to create a beautiful and elegant outdoor 4th of July tablescape. I plan to pull it all out again to celebrate my birthday, because what screams american summer party, more than red, white and blue? It’s not all stars and stripes though, which is why I can easily use it all again anytime I feel the need to. A mixture of patterned pieces with some elegant neutrals does the trick! And since we’re outdoors, we can’t forget our food tents to keep the bugs away. With all that delicious food sitting around, you are bound to attract at least a few. Use your pieces to display different food elements, like I did here using little patterned bowls to hold the fruit for our red, white and blue fruit skewers. Simple melamine plates take the stress off of you when it comes to mishaps and maybe little ones getting their hands on them too. Again, a mixture of pattern and neutrals as well as price points can make this little setting go from the usual to elegant and unexpected. Try your hand at it this year, and see what your guests think! I’ve linked some staple pieces to get the look, and for ease of shopping if you’d like to avoid the crowds.
