Fall Mantel Styling-Five Different Ways
Hi there, friends! During our summer-fall decor switch-up, I completed a little style challenge I created for myself by styling our mantel multiple ways using items found in the surrounding space. I thought y’all might enjoy the outcome so I’m sharing it here for you to see along with a couple of tips to do this in your own space.
I had fun completing this little styling challenge, and I hope you find it as inspiration to try in your own home. Honestly, it doesn’t take much to give your mantel a refresh. You may even choose to keep the items already on it, and opt to move them into a new arrangement. This is probably the easiest option of them all, and I encourage you to not feel like you need more to accomplish a stylish outcome, especially if you truly enjoy the pieces you own. After all, shouldn’t you be admiring these pieces, since you are displaying them on a focal point of your home?
Here are a couple of things to consider when/if you take on this challenge for yourself.
- Choose an anchor to display above/on the mantel. I like to use mirrors and decorate around them, but this could also be a piece of art or large object. I know many people place their TV above the mantel, so this could also act as your anchor. Be sure to consider scale when choosing this anchor piece, so that it doesn’t overpower the fireplace.
- Keep the eye moving across the mantel by using objects of varying heights/length. See examples below.
That’s it! The two most important things to consider while decorating your fireplace mantel.
So how did I do? I like some of these styles better than others, but ultimately all would work in this space. Can you guess which one I kept up on the fireplace? You can get a hint from our living room tour I shared in a previous post.
Thanks for stopping by!
