Mr. Skeleton has reemerged from his resting place in our garage, to help us celebrate the holiday. He says, “Hi!”. Speaking of Mr. Skeleton, purchasing a life sized posable skeleton to incorporate into your decor is a great investment into your current and future Halloween decorating. You can find this one here.
Vintage candle holders are also great finds to showcase throughout your home during the Halloween season. The more patina, the better!
Draping cloth over mirrors, pictures, or cabinets is another high impact budget friendly decorating trick to use around Halloween. I found this one with hand shadows, that makes it even creepier than the basic black and white. Combined with glass window clings it makes our mirror look extra spooky!
The Dollar Tree has various skeleton figures that look just as good as products from higher end stores, but beat their costs by at least more than half. I say check there first, and if you don’t end up finding them, most likely because they are sold out, check here for similar pieces.
Ooh, and I forgot to add this above, but dressing up your posable skeleton is another fun way to incorporate it into your decor.
Posable bat skeletons are a great way to take your light fixture from everyday to spooky. Do this with caution, as you are dealing with an electrical piece. The way our living room chandelier is made, accommodates the bat size and shape, and all I had to do was hook their feet over the tops of each tier.
I love using skulls to decorate with, and this glass skull votive doubles as a candy holder for our candy corn.
Thanks for stopping by, friends! I hope these spooky decorating tips help you out! Check back soon for our outdoor decorations, and our dining room decorations too.
