Simply Styled: Our Fall Fireplace

Styling our fireplace for the changing seasons has become a custom in our home. It started out wild and fun, when I was a new mom and the fireplace was the focal point in the room. As time has passed and the room has changed it has slowly become a complement to the overall space. To achieve this, a simple styed look is key.

A New Element

Recently I got an itch to add sconces to the fireplace wall, and after a good search I found a pair of vintage brass wall sconces on Etsy. As soon as they were hung everything felt, right. Like they were meant to be there the whole time. Once the candles are lit, the dance of light is a visual treat.

Old and New Come Together

We’ve had the arched mirror up for a couple of years, and I can see it sticking around for a good while. Flanking it with a simple dried floral arrangement, and a few vintage vessels easily completes the look. Altogether it’s a good mix of vintage and modern, which tells the story of our home style.
