Spring Home Styling
Welcome, friends! Are y’all ready for some spring home styling inspiration? I hope so! Some of you may be joining us today for the first time, from Kathy of Up to Date Interiors blog for the 2018 Spring Home Tour of Bloggers, hosted by my friend Monica, of Monica Wants It. Welcome to Iris Nacole! I hope you like what you see around here. Get to know more about me, here, and please feel free to browse around our past home projects, crafts, and much more. I’d love for you to come back now and then to see what we’re up to! We have a couple of room makeovers to work on going forward, as well as a few that we’ve been working on already, but haven’t covered yet. That means a lot of home improvement and decorating ideas coming your way! I’m excited to share it all!
Let’s talk spring styling! When I think about spring I immediately think about the outdoors. I think about the warm but comfortable weather. I think about the beautiful and vibrant colors that come with planting our flower garden, and I think about how free spirited I feel while taking it all in. Of course I want to translate all of that into my home decor so I can enjoy it inside and out! Here’s what I came up with, making a few simple changes from our winter styling.
- Fresh Flowers on Display: Cut or planted, bringing in some pretty flowers will always brighten up your space. Just be sure you aren’t allergic to the ones you choose, like I am apparently with these. Haha!
- New Shelf Styling: Use faux plants if behind closed glass doors, or real if open, but just be sure to do it. Nothing says spring more than a fresh green plant! Mix in neutral decor, for an all around “natural” look.
Did I mention fresh flowers? Even a small display can do the trick!
- New Accent Pillows: This spring I’m leaning towards a muted coloring in my throw pillow collection, but I’m not shying away from pattern. Pick your favorite to mix in with solids and textured pillows.
- Simple Coffee Table Decor: Try a less is more approach to your styling this spring. A pretty candle, coffee table books, and a couple of decor pieces, tied in with a floral, or plant display will do the trick.
- New Art: Art is easily interchangeable these days, with great pricing available for custom framing, as well as a ton of great digital art pieces to choose from. If that’s not up your alley, try places like HomeGoods, Minted, or Target for more readily available art.
I hope these tips help you out with your spring styling! Please head on over to see what Jessica from House Homemade has been up to this spring!
The spring tour continues on throughout the week, and new links will go live for you to enjoy each day. Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you Cassie! It’s only starting to actually become a reality after years of renovations going on. It was more like a hoarders episode for a while there. LOL!

Everything is so light and airy and nothing says spring like fresh flowers. Such a pretty addition to your pretty home.
Iris says
Thank you Maggie! I was so sad to find that I’m highly allergic to whatever type of flower that is in on my coffee table. I’ve even used them before as filler, but I guess in bulk I can’t handle them. That wont stop me from bringing in plenty of others though! 🙂

Iris says
Thank you Monica! Me too! It’s hard to get up from the couch sometimes, when the sun is streaming in, and I get that fleeting feeling of being at the beach and relaxing, but mom life calls and I have to anyways. Haha!
Lisa says
Iris you home is so soft and pretty. I love all your beautiful touches of spring, especially the faux and real plants everywhere – they bring so much to a space!
Iris says
Thank you, Lisa! I just don’t have the talent to keep more than a few plants alive in my home, so faux it is for me. I’ve got four live plants going right now, and I’m amazed that I’ve been able to manage that! Haha!
