Summer to Autumn Entryway Decor in Three Easy Steps
Use these three easy steps to transform your home from summer to fall.
No matter your current outdoor temps, for reference, it’s still in the 90’s around here, it’s time in the decor world to start the transition from summer to autumn. We’ve already started around here. Maybe even more relevant, it’s time in this COVID world to move on to something new, and why not make that something new your home’s seasonal vibe! Here are a few quick and easy tip on how to transition your decor for fall.
1. Switch out greenery for dried florals/grasses, or faux fall favorites.
This part is pretty easy, especially if you don’t want to change your decor/vessels that you have around the house. A quick addition of fall inspired florals is a great way to transition your space. I recently shared a blog post on my favorite dried fall florals. Click here to be taken to that post.
Switch up/ add to your art display.
Again, this is a quick and easy way to represent the season in your decor. These days art is pretty easy to come by. Some of my personal favorites are vintage pieces, but if you can’t get your hand on those, try a vintage inspired print instead. Frame it yourself, and you’ll have a beautiful piece of art to decorate with.
Switch up your textiles.
This one is so personal to a decorator. What evokes that fall feeling to you? Is it warm colors or deep colors, is it chunky materials or thin linen like materials? The list to consider can go on and on, especially taking into consideration where you live, but this is for you to decide. Since fall isn’t as cold in Texas as it is in northern states, I like a mix, which is why I decorated our spaces with a mix of heavier material on my lumbar pillow, and softer linen pillows, in muted colors. Maybe your pillow situation is on point and you don’t need to make a change. Add a new fall appropriate rug to the mix! Again, use whatever make you think “fall” when you see/feel it.
There you have it, friends! I hope this helps you easily transition into fall this year!
Thanks for stopping by!
