Cozy Fall Decorating-A Living Room Tour
Y’all, I almost didn’t get around to doing this fall decor post! I had planned to share something similar a while back, but then got the itch to prepare for Halloween early, so I missed my chance. Luckily I remembered to grab my camera today after taking down all of the Halloween decorations to capture our super simple, but cozy fall decor. I say luckily, because I plan to start decorating for Christmas very soon, as in tomorrow. Yep, it’s crazy, but in the blogging world, it’s a must to be ahead of schedule. You’ve probably already started to see a ton of it creeping into your social media feeds, online shopping favorites, and favorite blogs. I’m looking at it this way. If I do it now, I can sit back and enjoy all of December. Plus, I’m not hosting Thanksgiving dinner, so I won’t have to explain myself to anyone other than my husband and son, and they already think I’m crazy. Ha!
Back to our fall living room decor. Y’all might remember my “Fall Styling” posts I shared a while back, sharing my favorite fall pillows. I’m so in love with them all! I’m working on a way to keep most of them out with my Christmas decor that make sense with the style that I’m going for, but even if that doesn’t happen I’ll be using them again come the new year, which says a lot about how much I like them.
You’ll see that our “fall” decor is minimal, consisting mostly of a few faux pumpkins placed throughout the space. I was more intentional this year about making the overall space reflect the cozy, warm, and inviting ambiance of fall. I obviously love a good piece of seasonal decor, but this is just so much more relaxed, and true to my style. I also think it’s a more attainable way for people to decorate, which will hopefully serve as alternative inspiration for your own decorating.

Hi Irish, thanks for sharing this beautiful blog with us. I love this style for decorating the room. For me it is very interesting to decorate the room with fall and your blog will help me to do so.

Iris you know how much I love your style – I am a minimal kind of girl too. This is so beautiful! I love the galvanized bucket and all of your textiles!
