Valentine’s Day Banner (#CraftyCupid)
Each Tuesday for the next four weeks, I’m joining a bunch of my favorite Instagram ladies for a hashtag challenge called #CraftyCupid. Lucky for both you and me, it’s about crafting for Valentine’s Day! That means my brain had to get to work on creating some fun and easy crafts to share with y’all well before the calendar reflected the month of February! Well, you know me. I like to keep it simple, and maybe sometimes I think it’s simpler than it really is to others, but this time I promise it’s really simple to create this Valentine’s Day banner.
To get the look for yourself you’ll need the following:
Tassel Garland (Mine is Threshold brand from Target-Not showing up online yet, sorry.) Find similar here.
Glitter Letters (Mine are from Hobby Lobby-Not showing up online.)
Yarn/Twine (Target Dollar Spot) Similar option here.
Decorative Clothes Pins (Target Dollar Spot) Similar option here.
Decorative Hearts (Target Dollar Spot) Similar option here.
The process is simple, however I suggest you do the following steps after you hang your string since it tends to flip around to balance out the weight of the decorations being added. In other word, hang your tassel garland first, then hang the string for this craft in front of the tassel garland and do the following.
- Pin your decorative clothespins to the outer sections of the string. (You will space them out accordingly.)
- Add the decorative hearts, clipping them to the string with the clothespins you just added.
- Add your XOXO letters to the center area of the string, again using your decorative clothespins to clip them to the string.
That’s it! You’re finished! Isn’t it pretty? I love how mine turned out, and I love the fact that all I have to do is unclip the pieces to change up the look! I hope this serves as a bit of inspiration to you!
Enjoy your new banner, and thanks for stopping by, and be sure to check back next week for more Valentine’s Days crafts!
