Mantel Styling: Vintage Peonies
Hey friends! I’m popping in today to share a quick styling update to our living room. Somehow, the area that I usually tackle first ended up being almost last during my summer styling session! Y’all know how much I like decorating my mantel, so it’s an unusual occurrence. I just didn’t know what to do with it, until we got home from vacation (more on that soon) over the weekend and I opened up a bag of thrifted goodies I had picked up the week before. I found these beautiful brass tiered bud vases on my way out of Goodwill one day. Yes, you read that right. I almost didn’t see these beauties! Gasp!
Peonies had been on my mind the entire vacation. Our Trader Joe’s location hadn’t received them at the normal time, or at least it didn’t feel like it, and I was dreading the thought that somehow they would stock them while I was away, and by the time I got back they wouldn’t have anymore. Haha, I know, what a silly thing to dread, but peonies are one of my favorite flowers! I can’t miss out on my precious time with them! I’m happy to announce that I didn’t miss out, and I think I hit the jackpot, finding white peonies in the bunch! Talk about a perfect match!
The stars aligned when I decided to fill the bud vases with said peonies, and put them up on my mantel. It’s simple, elegant, eye-catching, and paired with a couple of stacked boxes fills the space in a beautiful way.
I just love it! Now, here’s hoping that once I get the walls painted, and the entire room photographed for my upcoming summer home tour, I can still find white peonies to decorate with!
Thanks for stopping in today! I hope your week is wonderful! Check back soon for more home styling updates!

Those brass vases look great, lucky find. I could see there being something bigger on the mantel in front of the mirror like a big star or bird cage.
