New Year, New Room Refresh Challenge-A Multi-functional Bonus Room (Week 5)
Hi there, friends! This is supposed to be the last post of the “New Year, New Room” series, but we’ve extended it an extra week to allow for some of the participants to receive some crucial elements of their room. We’d hate to share incomplete rooms, and if an extra week is all it takes, we are all on board to allow it. I hope you all are okay with that as well! We were very busy around here the last few days. Of course, as with so many makeovers, the last week is the big push to make it look presentable, and sometimes, to just get some things done. Our space is done, and we are so excited to say that, but it didn’t come without a hiccup.
I’m not sure if y’all have been following me over on Instagram or not, but I shared a look at a little disaster that put a kink in our completion of the space. Long story short, a bag holding a few bottles of nail polish was knocked over and in the process of falling the bag opened up and the bottles clanked together, breaking one of the hot pink polishes open. Yep, you can imagine, we were in shock. I saw it all happen in slow motion. My son is the culprit, so needless to say, he was covered in polish, our puppy also ended up covered, because he was curious and quickly ran over to investigate the situation. Luckily I picked him up before he could get any in his mouth. We spend the following thirty minutes cleaning up the two in the bathroom, and as you can see in the picture below, our pup ended up with an interesting haircut on his face. While I managed those two, my husband fought hard at removing the stain, but in the end, we lost the battle. So what does that mean? That means the beautiful rug that we’ve been sharing with y’all in all of our plans is no longer the rug in our space. We couldn’t do the obvious, which was to turn it and cover the stain with the couch, because it was too far into the middle of the rug, so we had to run out and find a replacement. We were lucky to find one at HomeGoods withing our budget. Have a look at it, and the stained rug, below.
Here is a sneak peek of the space, and that funny little face of our pup.
So we will be back next week with the full reveal, and I can’t wait! I hope y’all will come back to have a look!
