Holiday Living Room Decorations
Hi, friends! I hope y’all are enjoying this holiday season! Y’all, it snowed here yesterday, for the first time in years! We had such a magical night, playing in the snow, building a “snow man”, which turned out to be more of a snow creature, but fun to make nonetheless. My son had been asking for it to snow, and oh boy how I prayed that it would just this one time. He calls it his “Christmas Wish” come true. So adorable!
Keeping in the holiday spirit, I’m popping in here today to share our holiday living room decorations with y’all. I tried to keep the decor as simple as possible, focusing on our tree, which I shared the other day with y’all. It’s so warm and inviting in here, and compliments the surrounding spaces perfectly.
Tour our holiday dining room and kitchen here!
Our fireplace got a mini holiday makeover to compliment the tree being right next to it. To not overpower the tree, I hung a complimentary wreath from the mirror. I made it from floral sprays purchased from Hobby Lobby. A simple little craft! I had a little “jingle bell” theme going on it seems, as I found the cutest bells to display from McGee & Co., and used these stocking holders that also have little bells on them. I kept it going by using a jingle bell clad ribbon swag across the fireplace, in place of garland.
The coffee table also got a mini makeover, with a holiday appropriate greenery arrangement, some cute holiday decor such as the snow globe, and little ornament. I’m telling you, it doesn’t take much! I also rearranged the pillows on the couch, and added a warmer texture lumbar pillows to the mix. Oh, and because we all get cold easily, I was sure to add a larger blanket for us to cuddle up with.
Our cabinets are redecorated with a whole bunch of antique finds, and existing pieces. All season appropriate, and to pump it up for Christmas I added a few ornaments to the display. They will be easy to remove once the holiday are over.
That’s pretty much it y’all! We’re enjoying spending time in this space, day after day. I’m going to be sad when the soft glow from the Christmas Tree is gone, but looking forward to it returning next year is always exciting.
Enjoy the tour!
